Paris St Germain continued their perfect start to the Ligue 1 season with a 3-1 victory over Lille on Sunday. Vitinha opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, converting a penalty after Ousmane Dembele was fouled by Lille's Alexsandro Ribeiro. Just three minutes later, Bradley Barcola doubled PSG's lead, netting his fourth goal of the season with a strike at the far post following a swift counterattack.
Lille showed improvement in the second half, with Edon Zhegrova narrowing the deficit with a long-range goal 12 minutes from time. The hosts thought they had equalized when Tiago Santos found the back of the net, but his goal was disallowed for offside. Despite Lille's late efforts to draw level, Randal Kolo Muani secured PSG's win with a powerful header in added time.
The victory propelled PSG to the top of the standings with nine points, creating an early two-point gap over second-placed Marseille. PSG captain Marquinhos praised the team for their resilience, noting the importance of securing points against strong European contenders like Lille.
