PSG Extend Unbeaten Streak as Luis Enrique Praises Team’s Goal-Scoring Form

Paris Saint-Germain are enjoying an impressive run of form, scoring 23 goals in their last seven matches across all competitions while remaining unbeaten in 17 consecutive games. The French champions currently lead the Ligue 1 standings with 53 points from 21 matches, holding a comfortable 10-point advantage over second-placed Olympique de Marseille.

 

 They also secured a commanding position in their Champions League playoff after a convincing 3-0 victory over Brest in the first leg on Tuesday. Manager Luis Enrique expressed his satisfaction with the team's attacking prowess, emphasizing the confidence and energy their performances have brought.

 

Luis Enrique highlighted the importance of team cohesion, praising his squad's adaptability and effectiveness in executing their game plan. He explained that constantly changing the starting lineup allows PSG to remain unpredictable for opponents while maintaining internal consistency.

 

The Spanish coach also had high praise for Portuguese midfielder Joao Neves, who has made a strong impact since arriving from Benfica last year. Comparing him to Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo, Enrique noted that both players adapted quickly to the team's style, contributing both defensively and in possession.

 

Looking ahead to their upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against 10th-placed Toulouse, Enrique remained cautious despite their opponent's struggles at home. He acknowledged that Toulouse manager Carles Martinez Novell is familiar with PSG’s tactical approach and pointed out that Toulouse had managed to secure a win against them last season.

 

 While PSG will be favorites heading into the match, Enrique stressed the importance of staying focused against a team capable of causing them problems.
