Plateau FA picks Dec. 29 date for State Governor's Cup final

The Plateau State Football Association has tentatively set a date and venue for the 2024 State Governor's Cup Final.


The date and venue, which must receive the approval of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, are as follows:


The State Governor's Cup Final is scheduled for December 29 and will be played at the Shendam Mini Stadium in Shendam, Shendam Local Government Council.


It is worth recalling that about two weeks ago, Shendam Local Government Council officially wrote to the Plateau State Football Association, and the letter read in part:


"We write to convey the preparedness of Shendam Local Government Council (Home of Peace and Hospitality) and a haven of sports in North Central Nigeria, to graciously host the most coveted football competition in Plateau, the 2024 Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang Governor's Cup, at the remodeled first-class Shendam Mini Stadium."


"Besides the synthetic turf, the stadium has a standard pavilion that can comfortably seat 5,000 guests and spectators alike. 


The stadium is well fortified with modern security devices to ensure a seamless and secure revenue-generating event."


The Jos North LGC Football Team will battle it out with the Shendam LGC Football Team in the 2024 final, while the Jos South LGC Football Team will face off against the Mikang LGC Football Team.
