Peseiro thrilled by Osimhen's Ballon d'Or and CAF POTY

Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, expressed his admiration for Victor Osimhen, who gained recognition among the world's top players. Osimhen recently achieved the remarkable feat of being the first Nigerian to rank among the top ten finalists for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award, eventually won by Lionel Messi.

Additionally, he was named a finalist for the CAF Player of the Year award, where he is favored to become the first Nigerian since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999 to win this honor. Peseiro believes Osimhen's recognition is extraordinary and encourages the 24-year-old to strive for excellence as he has a promising future ahead.

Although Osimhen is currently sidelined due to an injury sustained while representing Nigeria, Peseiro is confident in his swift recovery and foresees continued interest from top clubs worldwide. Despite his temporary setback, Osimhen's talent and achievements make him an attractive prospect for the world's elite football teams. However, he will miss Napoli's important Champions League clash with Union Berlin due to his injury.
