Peseiro faces challenges before friendly against Saudi Arabia

Zaidu Sanusi is likely to miss the Super Eagles' October match against Saudi Arabia, following recent updates from Porto's coach, Sérgio Conceição.
Sanusi had to leave the field during Porto's Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk due to an injury. While Conceição initially downplayed the issue, subsequent medical tests revealed a muscle injury in Sanusi's left thigh.
Conceição confirmed in a recent press conference that Sanusi would not be playing in their upcoming game against Gil Vicente, and his injury could sideline him for several weeks. This puts his participation in the friendly with Saudi Arabia in doubt.
Despite Nigeria's manager, Jose Peserio, likely considering Sanusi for the friendly, especially with the match taking place in Portugal, this setback might change those plans. Sanusi was notably absent from Nigeria's recent 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against São Tomé and Príncipe.
