Pep Guardiola was honoured as the Premier League Manager of the Year on Tuesday after leading Manchester City to a historic fourth consecutive title.
Since joining Manchester City in 2016, the Spanish coach has won this award five times. His six league titles make him the joint second-most successful coach in the history of English football. Guardiola expressed his pride in the collective efforts of the club, acknowledging the contributions of the players, coaches, and support staff.
"This award reflects the hard work and excellence of the people at the Club in all departments," Guardiola said. "Winning four titles in a row is one of the proudest achievements of my career. This is the toughest league in the world and our competitors have played some incredible football." Guardiola faced tough competition for the award from Arsenal's Mikel Arteta, Aston Villa's Unai Emery, Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, and Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp.
