2023/2024 NPFL Match Day 15: People's Elephant locks horn with Flying Antelopes in longest Oriental derby fixtures

In one of the longest Oriental derbies in the Nigerian League, nine-time winners Enyimba International FC, arguably the most successful team in Nigeria with two CAF Champions League trophies, will host the five-time winners in the jungle at Enyimba International FC Stadium, Aba, for Match Day 15 of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).


The match of the game week saw the defending champions, Enyimba, welcome Rangers to the Aba Township Stadium on Wednesday.


The battle for the southeast soul will feature a team that has never been relegated from the elite league in their entire history, the Flying Antelopes of Enugu, standing against Enyimba International FC. While it is true that both teams appear to be moving in opposite directions, the People’s Elephant have won four of the last five matches compared to Rangers, who have three defeats and a draw.


Prediction:

Enyimba International FC to win.
