Paul Offor Explains Reason for Sack by Sporting Lagos

Former Sporting Lagos coach Paul Offor has revealed the reason he was sacked as the coach of the team midway through the league season.

 

Offor was relieved of his duty as the coach of the newly promoted side following indifferent results.

 

The soft-spoken coach said he stepped on toes at the club, a major reason for his sack.

 

"I think some of the reasons for what I did with the team were the reason why I am no longer with the team.

 

"When you come into a team as a coach, sometimes you have to make radical decisions, and not all your decisions will favor everybody.

 

"When I came in, I observed the players and saw the need for a clear-out, which I did, and in the process, I stepped on a lot of toes. I don’t think I was forgiven for that.

 

“I’m happy with those decisions I took then,” he said.
