Osimhen's Value Equals Haaland's - Napoli Open to N76b Offer
Posted : 28 April 2023
Italian football agent Stefano Antonelli believes that Napoli may be compelled to part ways with their prolific striker Victor Osimhen if an extraordinary bid is presented by any of the interested clubs.
With Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich vying for his signature in the upcoming transfer window, Osimhen's future hangs in the balance.
While Napoli has yet to set a definitive price tag for Osimhen, speculation suggests that his potential asking price could range between €100 million and €150 million.
Antonelli asserts that the Nigerian forward holds a valuation comparable to that of Manchester City's prolific scorer, Erling Haaland.
He anticipates that one of the interested clubs will meet Napoli's demands.
During an interview on Radio Crc, Antonelli expressed his thoughts, stating, "Osimhen is worth as much as Haaland today because they possess different qualities, but both are incredibly important players."
He went on to predict that at the end of the season, there will undoubtedly be a club eager to secure Osimhen's services.
Reflecting on Napoli's history of losing key players such as Higuain and Cavani, Antonelli believes that the club has consistently moved forward and achieved success.
However, if an offer of €150 million (equivalent to approximately N76 billion in Nigerian currency) materializes, Napoli would have no choice but to consider it.
Refusing such an offer would signify their determination to win everything, as merely participating would no longer suffice.
In the current season, Osimhen has proven his prowess by netting 21 goals, placing him among the top goal scorers in the major European leagues.
Only Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Kylian Mbappe have recorded more goals than the Nigerian striker.
With two years remaining on his contract with Napoli, his future in Italian football remains uncertain.
