Osimhen's manager, Luciano Spalletti, apologizes after Napoli's defeat to AC Milan

Following Napoli's elimination from the UEFA Champions League, manager Luciano Spalletti has made some confessions.
After a tie at the Diego Maradona stadium, Napoli's fiercest competitors, the Gli Azzurri, shown them the door.
The team's manager then admitted that they were inexperienced in the game and that Victor Osimhen, their main attacker, was unable to train extensively with the team ahead of time.
After Rafael Leao was hauled down inside the box in the opening minutes, Olivier Giroud attempted to give Milan the lead but failed.
But in less than 15 minutes, the Portuguese player made a precise pass to Giroud, who then beat Alex Meret with a rocket-like shot.
Osimhen once more showed his value to the squad in the final few minutes of the game by bringing the score back, but it was not enough to advance Napoli to the Semifinals.
After then, in the post-game press conference, Spalletti praised Milan for seizing their chances to win.
“We were a little naive. Even Osimhen struggled, but he trained for three days, and when you’re close to the game, you don’t do training where you raise pressure-building and the open field raids. Those are the coaching things. We arrived with some not trained at their best and some problems from the national teams, but it is not an excuse for the result. The performance has been there. What are you going to tell him? The verdict is accepted. You have to be fair. The boys played a great game, non-stop, trying to do what they had to do. Milan then won deservedly because they capitalised on the chances. Good for both of them.” He said.
