Osimhen's choice for Ballon d'Or: Messi, Mbappe, or Haaland?

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, a nominee for the 2023 Ballon d'Or award, has shared his predictions for the prestigious honor. Osimhen, who played a pivotal role in Napoli's Scudetto win and their historic UEFA Champions League quarterfinal appearance, named Argentine forward Lionel Messi and Norwegian sensation Erling Haaland as his top choices for the award.

Despite his remarkable season, Osimhen remains modest about his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or. In his view, Messi and Haaland are the standout candidates for the honor, attributing their strong performances to their respective achievements in the past season. Messi secured the World Cup, while Haaland achieved the treble with his performances.

The 2023 Ballon d'Or award ceremony is set to take place in Paris next Monday, with the potential for Lionel Messi to clinch his record eighth Ballon d'Or title.
