Osimhen nears Napoli contract extension deal

Victor Osimhen and Napoli are nearing an agreement on his contract extension, following a productive meeting with his representative and the club. 

The final details are being worked out, including a compromise on the release clause, which is expected to be less than the proposed 200 million euros but close to 150 million euros. 

The discussions, which have taken several weeks, revolve around various contract details, including the release clause and the striker's salary.

Napoli's President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, aims to extend Osimhen's contract from 2025 to 2027 and plans to include a substantial release clause in the new deal to deter potential suitors. 

Despite links to clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and PSG, all indications suggest that Osimhen is likely to remain at the Diego Maradona Stadium for the upcoming season.
