Victor Osimhen has officially completed a season-long loan transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray, concluding a lengthy transfer process.
The Nigerian striker will earn a net annual salary of €6,000,000 (over N10 billion) and will don the number 45 jersey for his new club.
Galatasaray confirmed the move on Wednesday, announcing, "An agreement has been reached with Victor James Osimhen and his club SSC Napoli for his temporary transfer at no cost."
The club also revealed, "The player will receive a net salary of 6,000,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season. We are pleased to inform the public."
The transfer deal also includes an option for Napoli to extend Osimhen’s contract until 2027.
As Osimhen finalized his loan move, he was warmly welcomed by thousands of Galatasaray fans in Istanbul.
This transfer saga, which has been a major topic throughout the summer window, has now concluded. Osimhen was linked with several top clubs, including Chelsea, PSG, and Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli, before settling on Galatasaray.
The Istanbul-based team has previously signed Nigerian players such as Henry Onyekuru and Oghenekaro Etebo, and this new chapter in Osimhen’s career is anticipated with great excitement as he aims to make a significant impact at Galatasaray.
