Osekene shoots FC Ebedei to Cool Hopefuls Cup Semi Final

A stunning header from a corner by towering striker Miracle Osekene propelled FC Ebedei into the semi-finals of the Cool Hopefuls Cup with a game to spare.  


Matchday 2 of the Ebedei Sports College-sponsored preseason and scouting tournament at the FC Ebedei Stadium featured a total of 15 goals, bringing the overall tally to 30 from the eight thrilling games played before the final round of the group phase.  


In the first two morning matches, The Lord's Favour FA suffered a crushing 6-0 defeat, with Usman Yusuf of FC Ebedei JNR becoming the third player to score a hat-trick in a single game. Yusuf netted twice in the first half and sealed the rout with the sixth goal of the match.  


Meanwhile, on Pitch B, SDK FC bounced back from their 5-0 loss to B.E Arena FC on Matchday 1, securing an impressive 4-1 victory over AAYK FC.  


The marquee matches at 4 PM showcased an exciting Group B clash between B.E Arena FC and FC Ebedei, keeping fans on the edge of their seats with quality counter-attacking football and strong defensive displays from both sides.  


After a goalless first half, both teams adjusted their tactics in search of the opening goal, which finally came in the 62nd minute when Osekene rose above his marker to head the ball into the net from a corner kick.  


In another match, Wonderxchange FC dominated Elebuibon Boyz FC, scoring three goals and moving into second place in Group A.  


Matchday 3 promises to be just as exciting as the previous days, with teams battling for maximum points or a crucial draw that could secure them a place in the semi-finals.
