Olorunleke highlights ideal position for Atalanta star

Former Reggiana defender Mathew Olorunleke believes that Atalanta star Ademola Lookman is most effective when playing as a support striker. 

Lookman had an impressive debut season in the Italian top-flight, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists in 31 appearances, even being in contention for the prestigious Capocannoniere award at one point.

The versatile player, who won the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup with England's Young Lions, is comfortable playing on either wing, as an attacking midfielder, or even as a center forward and second striker. 

Olorunleke praised Lookman's intelligence and individual technique in an interview with the Italian media, stating that the second striker role suits him best.

He further emphasized that Lookman thrives in a team that presses high and plays with speed, which allows him to showcase his abilities. 

Olorunleke expressed confidence that the upcoming season will be one of Lookman's consecration as the coach knows how to utilize his strengths effectively.

Lookman's exceptional performances in the 2022-2023 season earned him recognition, as he was awarded the Atalanta Player of the Season. 

With such promising potential and versatility, Lookman looks set to continue making a significant impact for Atalanta in the upcoming season.
