Super Eagles defender Olisah Ndah is open to exploring new opportunities beyond his current team, Orlando Pirates. Since his move to the South African club in 2021 from Akwa United, Ndah has made a significant impact, appearing 76 times and scoring once. His performances have drawn interest from various international clubs, leading to speculation about a possible transfer.
At 26 years old, Ndah’s solid performances have positioned him as a sought-after player. When asked about his future, he expressed contentment with his current situation but remained open to new opportunities, stating, "I am happy where I am but I am open if any opportunity comes my way."
Currently, Ndah is with the Nigerian national team as they prepare for their upcoming match against the Republic of Benin on September 7, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. His involvement in the squad underscores his ongoing role and contributions to the team.
Ndah acknowledged the competitive nature of the squad, which includes notable defenders like Calvin Bassey, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, and Semi Ajayi. He commented on the healthy competition within the team, saying, "I think it is a healthy competition and there's a lot of great players in the team. No matter who is starting on Saturday, I think we're committed to the team."
The defender has been welcomed warmly by his teammates and is enjoying his time with the squad. He noted, "It is a good reception and there are a lot of great guys here. I am enjoying my moments here. I am also in Uyo, so I feel at home because I have been here for a couple of years before."
As he gears up for matches against the Republic of Benin and Rwanda, Ndah’s experience will be a valuable asset to the Super Eagles. His previous experience includes participating in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ndah’s readiness to consider new opportunities combined with his current focus on national team duties highlights his professional approach and commitment to both his club and country.
