Nasarawa Amazons FC announced their departure to Bayelsa on Wednesday, expressing readiness to compete against the top teams at the 2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super 6 tournament, scheduled from the 18th to the 26th of May.
According to the team's coordinator, the players are in high spirits, united, and determined to make a mark in the tournament.
“Our players have been training hard, and their unity and bonding are evident,” he said.
“The NWFL Super 6 tournament will feature six top teams, including our hosts, Bayelsa Queens, as well as Edo Queens, Rivers United, Confluence Queens, and Heartland Queens. We are ready for the challenge!
“We extend our sincere appreciation to the esteemed Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. A. A Sule, for his exceptional support and motivation. His belief in our cause fills us with immense gratitude and determination.
