In their second preseason game, Arsenal's 16-year-old midfielder Ethan Nwaneri made an appearance as a substitute in their 1-1 draw against 2.Bundesliga club Nürnberg.
Nwaneri, who became the youngest debutant in Premier League history last season, once again showcased his talent and combined well with his senior teammates.
One standout moment from Nwaneri's performance was when he executed a roulette turn, reminiscent of the iconic move associated with Juventus and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane during his playing days.
The young midfielder's agility and skill were on display as he evaded the attention of two Nürnberg players.
Arsenal took an early lead in the 7th minute when Bukayo Saka skillfully held off his marker in the box, cut onto his left foot, and fired a low, powerful shot past the goalkeeper.
However, Nürnberg equalized in the 62nd minute after the ball struck Jorginho and found its way into the net, intensifying the match.
Prior to this game, Nwaneri had also featured in Arsenal's preseason fixture against English Championship side Watford, which was played behind closed doors.
Folarin Balogun, a striker of Nigerian descent representing the United States Men's National Team (USMNT), was also involved in the match, coming on as a substitute in the 55th minute.
As part of their pre-season activities, Mikel Arteta's team will now travel to the United States. They are scheduled to face the MLS All-Stars at Audi Field in Washington DC on July 19th, providing further opportunities for the squad to prepare for the upcoming season.
