NPFL24: Remo Stars FC's forward, Isaac expects tough game against Rangers Int'l FC

Remo Stars forward, Isaac James says he expects a tough duel against Rangers International FC for the Super Sunday Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 2 encounter.

The Sunday cracker slated for Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, will see the Sky Blue Star back in action for the first time of the new 2023/2024 NPFL season, after their Matchday 1 away to Rivers United was postponed. 

The Sky Blue Stars will entertain a head up Rangers FC that cooly despatched visiting Doma United FC 2-1 in Awka on Saturday.

Both Rangers FC and Remo Stars have met five times with the Flying Antelopes having upper hand head to head.

In the five matches played so far, Remo Stars FC won 1 and lost two with three contests which ended in a draw.

Isaac's expectation is a tough match against Rangers International FC, however, he is hoping for a home win. 

"We are preparing very well ahead of the clash against Rangers," Isaac said. 

"It's going to be a good game, and I know for sure that we are coming out victorious."

The former Nasarawa United forward also expects Rangers Int'l to challenge Remo Stars for the league title, but says that the Daniel Ogunmodede-led side is focused on itself rather than other teams. 

"Rangers FC is a good team, so I expect them to be one of the contenders for the league title, but we are focused on ourselves and what we want to achieve this season," he concluded.. 

The Ikenne based-club will be expecting to move one step forward this season with the hope of winning the NPFL title by the end of the season.

Remo Stars are one of the favourites for the title this season alongside Enyimba FC, Rivers United, Akwa United and Rangers International.
