NPFL review: Dakkada FC may drop from the league

Bendel Insurance FC has continued its invincible form as the team picked up another point away from Gombe Utd's home ground.

El-Kanemi, on the other hand, suffered another home defeat in Maiduguri as they lost to Enyimba International 1-0, with the league’s top scorer Emeka Obioma scoring the only goal in the 40th minute.

For Dakkada FC, the situation around the team is bad as it "has been relegated from the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season after suffering a humiliating defeat to Abia Warriors in Umuahia on matchday 16 played on Sunday."

Sunday Megwo put the host ahead in the 2nd minute before two quick goals from Bello Lukman in the 82nd and 85th minutes ensured a 3-0 win for the Abia Warriors.

Junior Nduka’s 45th-minute penalty gave Remo Stars a 1-0 win over Akwa United in Ikenne. Former champions Rangers secured a comfortable 3-0 win over the visiting Wikki Tourists in Awka City Stadium.

Chidiebere Nwobodo scored twice in the 27th and 51st minutes, while Sam Pam added the third goal in the 86th minute. In Akure, Kwara United continued their poor showing at home as they played out a 1-1 draw against Plateau United. Issa Gata put the host ahead in the 22nd minute before the away side equalized in the 57th minute.
