The board of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has rescheduled the Match Day 13 game between Rivers United and Sporting Lagos.
This decision comes after the unavailability of the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Stadium in Lagos, due to the installation of four giant screens on a large stage at the center of the pitch for the ongoing AFCON.
The game was subsequently moved to Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, scheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2024, but unfortunately, it did not take place, leading to an indefinite postponement.
In a letter addressed to the affected clubs, it stated, "Due to the unavailability of Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State, to host the above-mentioned proposed game, please be informed that the Matchday 13 fixture is now on hold. New dates will be communicated to the affected teams and match officials accordingly."
