The 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has suffered its second casualty as Katsina United, aka Changi Boys, announced that its Technical Adviser, Tony Bolus, has been relieved of his duty.
Bolus was sacked just three weeks after Heartland FC of Owerri dismissed its coach, Christian Obi, and subsequently replaced him with the more experienced two-time league winner, Kennedy Boboye.
Changi Boys, following suit, has announced that Bolus' services would no longer be needed by the club as the Technical Adviser with immediate effect.
The sack letter was signed by the Club's Interim Chairman, Alh Kabir Dan'lami Rimi, and dated, with a copy forwarded.
According to the letter, the termination of Coach Tony Tope Bolus' appointment was prompted by his rude behavior toward the management of the club.
The Chairman, in the letter, stated that the termination of the appointment also followed the Technical Adviser's inability to defend himself before the committee on Wednesday, the 6th of December 2023.
The management is therefore advising the outgoing Technical Adviser to hand over all the club materials in his possession and wishes him the best of luck in his future career,'' the letter read.
The sacked manager has yet to speak on the matter.
