Just like Enyimba International FC, the management of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has charged Plateau United for breaching the NPFL24 Framework and Rules during their Matchday 15 fixture against Kwara Utd on Thursday, December 21.
It was found that players and officials of Plateau United harassed the match officials after the game in Jos, an act of misconduct capable of bringing the game to disrepute.
Plateau Utd failed to ensure the proper conduct of their players and officials, resulting in the harassment and intimidation of the referee after the match.
A fine of N1 million has been imposed on Plateau United for misconduct and the failure to ensure the proper conduct of their players and officials.
Plateau United FC's Jimmy Ambrose and Charles Henlong have been suspended for the next 3 matchweeks, while the club's team manager, Iliya Abel, is also suspended for the next 3 matches for his inciting and unsporting conduct.
Plateau Utd has been warned of facing stiffer sanctions if there is a similar recurrence of such conduct.
Plateau Utd has 48 hours from the date of notice to appeal these sanctions.
