NPFL Dispels Rumours of Favouritism

While allegations of violence and misconduct during the Lafia match between Nasarawa United and Rivers United are serious, the management of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) stresses the importance of distinguishing between verified facts and unsubstantiated claims.

 

According to the investigation, allegations of assault, loss of valuables, and threats must undergo thorough, evidence-based investigations.

 

“Rushing to conclusions or imposing sanctions without concrete proof can damage the credibility of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and undermine the principles of fairness and justice.

Without such verification, these claims remain speculative, and penalizing clubs or individuals based on rumors could set a dangerous precedent.
