NPFL defending champions, Rangers Int'l FC, receive NSC delegates in Enugu

The corporate office of NPFL reigning champions, Rangers International F.C. of Enugu, located at G.R.A, Enugu, Enugu State, was a beehive of activities on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, as the management, led by Amobi Ezeaku, received a delegation of officials from the National Sports Commission (N.S.C) on a courtesy visit.

Seyi Johnson, the Chief of Staff to the Director-General of the Commission, Bukola Olapade, led the delegation, which included Assistant Directors Hauwa Shaibu and Idowu Oladipupo; Senior Assistant on Strategy/Legal and Policy to the D.G., Aghazu Aku; and Special Assistant on Media to the D.G., Kola Daniel.

Receiving the delegation, the CEO of Rangers, Amobi Ezeaku Esq., expressed gratitude to the visitors for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit the club’s corporate office and witness the efforts being made to elevate the club to the heights it deserves.

“I think it is a privilege for Rangers to have members of the National Sports Commission in our corporate office.

“It is a privilege for the football ecosystem in Enugu State and the South-East zone to have the delegation around.

“It is a good thing that we are enjoying this synergy. It is a good thing that Enugu will be buzzing in 2026 when the National Sports Festival takes place.

“We must not fail to thank God for the kind of governor He gave us, in the person of Peter N. Mbah, a true sports lover.

“We thank you for coming to the home of the current NPFL champions, and we promise to fully support the activities of the National Sports Festival, which will be hosted by Enugu State in 2026,” stated the young CEO in his welcome address.

The delegation, which was in the Coal City along with other top brass of the commission for the signing of documents granting hosting rights for the 2026 National Sports Festival, was later taken on a guided tour of the facilities and offices at the club’s corporate office.

Top management officials of the club, including the Administrative Secretary, Alex Egbo; Head of Finance, Mrs. Igwe Ifeoma; Team Coordinator, Emeka Ike; Chief Coach, Ekeh Ekenedilichukwu; as well as the Chairman of Anambra F.A., Chikelue Iloenyosi, were on hand to receive the visitors.
