NPFL-bound Nasarawa United FC announces two-week break for team

Following the successful completion of the 2023/24 Nigeria National League season and subsequent promotion to the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League, Nasarawa United FC announced on Monday a two-week break, effective immediately.

The break will provide our players and officials with a well-deserved rest and an opportunity to recharge before the club resumes the competitive campaign in the elite domestic football league for the next season.

With the governing body of the elite league hinting at the commencement of the 2024/25 NPFL season on August 31, 2024, the break will end on Sunday, July 14, 2024, and training will resume on Monday, July 15, 2024.

In light of these developments, the club wishes to extend warm appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, whose unwavering financial and moral support, fatherly counsel, enthusiasm, and belief in the team have been the driving force behind the team's success.

"We also extend our gratitude to the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, whose immense support, inspiring messages, presence, and solidarity in various ways have propelled us to achieve our goals.

"We acknowledge the State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, headed by Hon. Jafaru Ango, who has been our guiding force in ensuring the club fulfills its mandate.

"We appreciate the Board of the Nasarawa State Football Association chaired by Salisu Usman Galadima 'Basira', as well as the Nasarawa State Football Referees' Council led by Isah Mohammed, for their technical and psychological support and guidance.

"To our ever-present Supporters' Club led by Jibrin Ali 'Baggio', your thunderous cheers, unwavering belief in our potential, and unconditional support throughout the season have energized us to achieve success.

"Indeed, you continue to prove why you are one of the best supporters' clubs any organization could ask for.

"We extend our gratitude to the media for their relentless and unbiased coverage of our activities, always portraying us positively in the news headlines.

"Finally, we thank all our fans around the globe and other critical stakeholders, too numerous to mention, for your support and prayers.

"The Management, led by Dr. Othman Ahmed Ibrahim, the Technical Crew headed by Coach Usman Adams, the Players, and the Backroom Staff are honored to have shared this success story with everyone.
