NPFL approves floodlight matches for Uyo, Ibadan

The board of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced that two matches for Matchday four in the 2024/2025 season will be played under the floodlights. 


This was stated in a letter addressed to club Chairmen and General Managers, signed by the league's Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi. According to the CEO, the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo will host the match between Akwa United and Sunshine Stars, scheduled for 5:30 PM on September 28th.

Additionally, the game between Shooting Stars and Heartland FC at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan will also be played under the floodlights, beginning at 5:30 PM on September 29th, 2024.


While the game involving Ikorodu City FC and Nasarawa United will kick off at 3 PM on September 28th, the Rivers United and Enyimba FC encounter will take place at 3 PM on September 29th.


Other Matchday 4 matches have been scheduled for 4 PM on September 29th.
