Nottingham Forest announced on Thursday the signing of Portugal's Jota Silva from Vitoria de Guimaraes on a four-year contract. Silva, a versatile forward known for his ability to play across the front line, was a standout performer in the 2023-24 season, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists in all competitions. The 25-year-old also made his international debut in March.
Forest's chief football officer, Ross Wilson, highlighted Silva's enthusiasm for this new chapter in his career, noting that the forward is eager to build on his successful spell in Portugal. Wilson expressed confidence that Silva will be a valuable addition to the team.
Nottingham Forest will kick off their Premier League campaign at home against Bournemouth on August 17, with Silva expected to make an impact in their attacking lineup.
