Nottingham Forest negotiating four-year deal with Super Eagles star

Nottingham Forest, a prominent Premier League club, is currently in negotiations with Ola Aina, the Super Eagles right-back, regarding a new multi-year contract. These discussions come as a response to Aina's impressive performances this season, which have caught the attention of both fans and media.


Local media reports have suggested that Nottingham Forest is preparing to offer Aina a new contract, recognizing his contribution to the team. The club is eager to secure his services for the foreseeable future due to his outstanding displays on the pitch.


The two-time European champions have initiated discussions with Aina and his representatives. The negotiations are reportedly progressing well, with the intention of finalizing a new deal that would extend his stay at the City Ground.


Should an agreement be reached, Aina will sign a four-year contract that would keep him at Nottingham Forest until at least the end of the 2027-2028 season. This move highlights the club's commitment to retaining the talented defender for the long term.


In a bid to prevent losing Aina on a free transfer next summer, Nottingham Forest has acted swiftly to offer him a new deal. The urgency arises from the fact that Aina's current contract is set to expire on June 30, 2025, allowing him to negotiate with foreign clubs once the transfer window opens in January 2025.


Aina's performances have earned him widespread acclaim, notably following Nottingham Forest's 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, where he effectively marked Luis Díaz. Since joining Forest as a free agent in July 2023, he has made twenty-six appearances across all competitions and contributed two goals.


Internationally, Aina's excellence was recognized at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named the best right-back of the tournament and selected for the Team of the Tournament by the CAF Technical Study Group.
