Noni Madueke scored a stunning second-half hat-trick as Chelsea overwhelmed Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2 in a thrilling Premier League encounter at Molineux on Sunday. This victory marked Chelsea's first Premier League points of the season and the first under new manager Enzo Maresca, who saw his team dismantle Wolves after an intense first half.
Chelsea initially took the lead twice in the first half through goals by Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer, but Wolves responded each time with well-deserved goals from Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen. The match appeared evenly poised as both teams went into the break on level terms.
However, Wolves crumbled in the second half as Madueke ran riot, scoring three goals in just 15 minutes. All of Madueke’s goals were set up by the impressive Palmer, who orchestrated Chelsea’s relentless attack and left Wolves with no chance of recovery.
Joao Felix added the finishing touch to Chelsea's dominant performance, coming off the bench to score their sixth goal, marking his return to the club in style.
