NNL Super 8: Abeokuta Stormers drew first match against Heartland FC

The last match of the opening day fixtures of the Nigeria National League Super 8 play-off ended in a stalement just as the conference table for both the Northern and Southern Conference begins to take shape.
Needing a victory of some sorts to match or surpass the scoreline recorded from the first match of the group involving Sporting Lagos and FC One Rocket, both sides went into the game like a gang with an assault riffle at their disposal but in a surprising scenario, the two teams fired blanks all through.
In a game where chances were limited and far in-between, the coach of Stormers FC of Abeokuta, Sakiru Lawal defended the outcome of the game by disclosing that the result was not a true reflection of the game play.
"It was a highly technical game. The result from the earlier game unsettled both sides and it is nothing from the ordinary to get such an outcome as witnessed in the game. Unto the next game for further comments," the ex-footballer-turned coach concluded.
