NNL-side Solution FC emerges winner in Anambra Federation Cup

Solution Football Club, the Anambra-owned football club, has won the 2024 NEROS Pharmaceutical-sponsored Federation Cup competition in the state.


Solution FC, a Nigeria National League (NNL) side, defeated Edel FC, also playing in the same league, 1-0 to lift the cup at the NEROS Stadium in Nanka on Saturday.


A goal by Chuddy Onyeka in the seventh minute of the game was all that made the difference to give the six-month-old club their first trophy.


To reach the final, Solution FC defeated Ozalla FC 1-0 while Edel FC beat Peace FC 3-1 in the second semi-final match.


Speaking on the competition, Akonam Obiefuna, the Media Coordinator of the sponsors, NEROS Pharmaceuticals, said it had all been exciting and competitive.


He disclosed that the top three winners in the competition were going to go home with N2 million, N1 million, and N500,000 respectively.
