NNL mgt warns lower league clubs over registration deadline

The Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria National League (NNL), Dr. Ayo Abdulrahman, has issued a warning that clubs failing to complete their registration formalities early this week risk being excluded from the league, which is scheduled to kick off on October 28.
Abdulrahman pointed out that some clubs have not yet completed their registration, despite the process having started a month ago following the NNL Annual General Meeting in Jos.
"We opened the registration window immediately after the AGM, which took place last month in Jos. As we speak, some clubs have not registered, despite the ultimatum issued last week. The new board under George Aluo is determined to do things differently. Any club failing to complete its registration formalities by early this week may be expelled from the league," Abdulrahman warned.
He emphasized that the NNL is a professional league, and participating clubs must demonstrate professionalism ahead of the new season.
"We won't allow any club to hold us back. The secretariat is working round the clock to ensure that things are done professionally," he noted.
Dakkada FC, based in Uyo, is set to host the new Lagos team, 1472 FC, in the opening match of the season at the Uyo Township Stadium on October 28.
