The much-awaited 2023 Youth League of the Nationwide League One (NLO) will officially kick off on Wednesday July 12.
The directive was given in a statement from the Secretariat.
"The NLO wishes to restate that participation in the league is restricted to players of age 19 years and below, which means only players born from January 2004 above are eligible to participate.
"Due to unexpected delays in concluding our sponsorship drive, clubs are still expected to pay N200,000 participation fees at the venue before the draws.
"The participation fee payment guarantees clubs participation, we equally advise all clubs to kindly adhere strictly to this guideline to support the development of football in Nigeria as more screening shall be done at the venues.
"This is due to discrepancies in the documents submitted by clubs," the statement read.
