Over 200 teams are gearing up for the Nationwide League One (NLO) U-19 tournament scheduled to kick off from Saturday, July 13th to Saturday, July 27th, 2024. This event promises to be a showcase of youthful talent from across Nigeria, providing a platform for young footballers to display their skills and compete at a national level.

The NLO has meticulously planned the tournament, selecting 14 approved venues spread across 16 centers throughout the country to host the matches. These venues have been strategically chosen to ensure accessibility and convenience for teams and spectators alike, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of sportsmanship and excitement.

Among the prominent stadiums approved for the tournament are the Legacy Pitch/Maracas Stadium in Lagos, FC Ebedei Stadium in Sagamu, and the Kayode Oluyemi Stadium in Ado-Ekiti. These venues not only boast top-notch facilities but also hold significance in the local football scene, adding prestige to the competition.

In Yenagoa, the Samson Siasia Stadium will welcome teams, while in Umuahia, the Ginger Sam Stadium will play host to thrilling matches. Other key venues include the Awka City Stadium in Awka, the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, and the Pantami Stadium in Gombe, each contributing to the tournament's nationwide reach and impact.

The selection of these stadiums reflects the NLO's commitment to promoting football development at the grassroots level across Nigeria. By decentralizing the tournament to various regions, the league not only encourages local support but also creates opportunities for young talents to gain exposure and potentially advance to higher levels of the sport.

Teams participating in the NLO U-19 tournament are not only vying for glory but also aiming to catch the attention of scouts and stakeholders in Nigerian football. The competitive nature of the tournament ensures that every match is a stepping stone towards individual and collective achievements, fostering growth and excellence among young athletes.

As preparations intensify and teams finalize their squads, anticipation is building among fans and communities nationwide. The tournament promises thrilling encounters, tactical battles, and moments of brilliance as emerging talents seize the spotlight and showcase their potential on the national stage.

Beyond the competition itself, the NLO U-19 tournament serves as a celebration of youth, resilience, and the vibrant football culture that defines Nigeria. It embodies the spirit of sportsmanship, unity, and determination, inspiring young players to dream big and pursue their passion for football with dedication and pride.
