The Nationwide League One (NLO), organizers of the largest grassroots domestic football league in Africa, said that its management team was in talks with the National Lottery Trust Fund regarding potential support.
Olushola Ogunnowo, Chief Operating Officer (COO), during a courtesy visit to the head office of the National Lottery Trust Fund, was received by its Executive Secretary, Tosin Adeyanju, to discuss sponsorship of the league.
According to Ogunnowo, the meeting with Adeyanju aimed to seek support and explore how the National Lottery Trust Fund can partner with the Nationwide League One.
"The NLO is delighted to announce that it has begun discussions with the executives of the National Lottery Trust Fund.
"The support the NLO intends to receive from the National Lottery Trust Fund, if all goes as planned, will mark an exciting new chapter, as we also look forward to exploring new opportunities for the nation's third-tier league.
"National Lottery Trust Fund's support for the NLO, which will come in the form of a partnership, will strengthen the NLTF's connection with millions of our active football youths and align perfectly with our vision of creating the best career pathway platform for our grassroots players to Europe and other leagues around the world."
