Nkunku, who was signed for £52 million from RB Leipzig, impressed with his goal, providing another positive moment for a team that struggled to score last season before Pochettino's arrival on July 1.
Pochettino emphasized the importance of building good feelings among the players as they started playing again after the holidays. The team members returned at different fitness levels, and now the goal is to get everyone on a similar level to compete effectively.
Chelsea's upcoming fixtures include a game against Brighton in Philadelphia on Saturday and another against Newcastle United on July 26 in Atlanta.
Wrexham, owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, will continue their tour with matches against LA Galaxy II, Manchester United, and Philadelphia Union II in the following week.
Reece James, who is recovering from an injury setback, is set to join the team on their tour as he works his way back to full fitness, according to Pochettino after the match.
