Despite these setbacks, Osimhen, who joined on loan from Napoli in September, has been a standout performer, delivering nine goals and five assists in just 12 matches across all competitions.
Osimhen’s performances have been instrumental in Galatasaray’s success, drawing interest from top European clubs and fueling speculation about a potential move during the January transfer window due to a break clause in his contract.
Altay, speaking on KRT TV, noted the contrasting dynamics between Osimhen’s partnerships with Icardi and Batshuayi. He explained that when paired with Icardi, Osimhen’s play becomes more synergistic, with their strengths enhancing each other.
In contrast, his partnership with Batshuayi creates a completely different on-field chemistry, as evidenced in recent matches, leading to varying outcomes for the team.
Highlighting Osimhen’s versatility, Altay referenced the Nigerian’s crucial goal in Galatasaray’s 1-1 draw with AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League, further showcasing his value to the Turkish side.
