Nigerians overseas: Kante excels, Ighalo's debut loss; Ikwuemesi's Serie A success

Nigerian talent Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi debuted in Serie A for Salernitana, securing a 1-1 tie against Udinese. Having joined Salernitana from Celje just 11 days earlier for €1.8 million, Ikwuemesi initially started on the bench at Stadio Arechi in Salerno.
Udinese's substitutes included Nigerian players Isaac Success and goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. Lazar Samardžić scored for Udinese, answered by Boulaye Dia for Salernitana. Although Success and Ikwuemesi came on as substitutes, the result remained unchanged.
Yusuf Otubanjo stood out in the Armenian Premier League with a double in Pyunik's 3-0 triumph over West Armenia. This victory propelled Pyunik to the top of the standings with 11 points from five games.

In Mecca, Odion Ighalo's Al Wehda suffered a 0-3 defeat against Karim Benzema's Al Ittihad in the Saudi league. N'golo Kante assisted Romarinho's opener, and Igor Coronado sealed the win for Al Ittihad after Benzema's early exit due to injury.
