It has been reported that Amiens' promising teenage striker, George Ilenikhena, is set to make a move to Antwerp, where he will join the Belgian club's ranks.
At just 16 years old, Ilenikhena has already shown his potential by making 16 appearances and scoring two goals in Ligue 2, while also impressing with six goals in 10 appearances for the second team.
Antwerp, who finished last season in 12th place in Ligue 2, have been actively searching for a capable backup striker to support their top scorer Vincent Janssen.
Antwerp's activity in the transfer window has been notable, particularly in their focus on signing young players with promising futures.
They recently secured the services of goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Club Brugge on a free transfer, signing him to a four-year contract.
Additionally, in April, the club announced the signing of 20-year-old Swedish attacker Jacob Ondrejka from Elfsborg, further bolstering their attacking options.
On the other hand, there have been rumors circulating that Burnley is interested in acquiring Jean Butez from Antwerp, as they missed out on securing the services of Bart Verbruggen, who joined Brighton instead.
These potential outgoings highlight the dynamic nature of the transfer market and the constant speculation surrounding player movements.
