Nigeria striker sought by Cagliari, Bologna, Besiktas

Nigerian striker David Okereke has caught the attention of Serie A clubs Cagliari and Bologna, alongside Turkish giants Besiktas, as they closely monitor his performances.
The past two seasons have presented challenging circumstances for the Super Eagles hopeful.
After departing from Belgian giants Club Brugge in 2021, Okereke embarked on a new journey with Venezia, who had just secured promotion to Serie A.
However, despite his efforts to contribute with seven goals in 32 appearances, the team unfortunately succumbed to relegation.
Seeking a fresh start, Okereke made another move last summer, this time to newly-promoted side Cremonese.
Unfortunately, fate did not smile upon him once again, as Cremonese finished 19th in Serie A, leading to their demotion to Serie B.
Interestingly, Okereke's former teammate Cyriel Dessers recently completed a transfer to Rangers, and now Okereke himself could be on the verge of a new adventure.
According to reports from Napoli Magazine, three clubs have expressed their interest in securing the services of the 25-year-old goal poacher.
While Bologna had been previously linked with Okereke, newly-promoted Cagliari has now emerged as a contender in the race.
Additionally, former Turkish champions Besiktas have also expressed their keenness to secure Okereke's signature.
With a market value of €4 million, as estimated by Transfermarkt, Okereke represents an appealing prospect for potential suitors.
If a move to Cagliari materializes, Okereke would create history by becoming the first Nigerian player to represent the club in Serie A.
The prospect of a fresh start in a new environment could provide Okereke with the opportunity to rediscover his form and make a significant impact on the pitch.
