Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface has been nominated as one of the most skillful players in the ongoing 2023/24 Bundesliga season, showcasing his impact since joining from Union SG last July under manager Xabi Alonso.
In the initial burst in Germany, he impressed by scoring ten goals in 16 league matches, but his momentum was halted by a groin injury, causing him to miss the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite the injury setback, Boniface's notable performances, especially in Leverkusen's Bundesliga clash against RB Leipzig in August 2023, have gained recognition.
In that game, he displayed individual brilliance with a clever feint, deceiving his marker and contributing to Leverkusen's 3-2 victory, even though he didn't score.
Boniface shares the spotlight for skills with four other notable players: Andrej Kramaric, Jadon Sancho, Felix Nmecha, and Xavi Simons.
Fans can participate in the voting process by visiting the Bundesliga's official website and selecting their preferred player among the nominees.
As of now, Sancho leads the polls with an impressive 75% of the votes, followed by Simons with 17%, and Boniface holding 5%. Kramaric and Nmecha trail with 1% and 2% of the votes, respectively.
