Niger Tornadoes' maestro midfielder, Victor Okoro, has praised the team's solid performance after they secured a vital 1-0 win over Katsina United on Friday in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 29 encounter at the Laifa City Stadium, Laifa.
The Enugu-born holding midfielder, who played for 75 minutes after making a return from an injury that kept him out of last Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Rivers United in a Matchday 28 encounter, expressed his excitement about the team's performance.
Speaking shortly after the match, the midfielder said that they showed character and determination to bounce back to winning ways.
"Yes, I'm happy that we won because it is an important three points for us," Victor said.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult game, and we had to put up a spectacular team performance, which helped us secure the maximum points."
"However, it was a hard-fought game for us because Katsina United proved they are a good side with the way they performed. But we also showed good character, togetherness, and team spirit to come out with the victory," he concluded.
