Nicolo Zaniolo Joins Atalanta on Loan from Galatasaray

Italian midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, who is currently sidelined due to injury, has joined Atalanta on loan from Galatasaray, as announced by both clubs on Friday.

 

Atalanta confirmed the deal, stating that Zaniolo's loan extends until June 30, 2025, with an option to buy and an obligation to make the transfer permanent under specific conditions. Galatasaray revealed that they would receive 6.4 million euros ($6.9 million) for the loan, which could increase to 15.5 million euros if the buy-out clause is activated.

 

The 25-year-old Zaniolo, capped 19 times by Italy, spent last season on loan at Aston Villa in the English Premier League. He previously played for Roma in Serie A from 2018 to 2023, scoring 13 goals in 94 league appearances.
