The Monica Ezekiel Foundation, in partnership with the Bayelsa State Basketball Association, has organized a one-day Basketball Tournament in Yenagoa to commemorate her birthday.
The Monica Ezekiel Foundation is an NGO dedicated to inspiring excellence and building dreams.
The former St. Jude's Girls Secondary School basketball player, who recently graduated from the School of Nursing in America, said the move was born out of the desire to give back to her roots.
The one-day event will feature both male and female players, with the winners receiving N50,000, the second position N30,000, and the third place N20,000.
Furthermore, the tournament will witness full-court games with 8 players per team. The three-point contest winner will receive N5,000, while the free-throw contest winner will also receive N5,000.
The one-day event is scheduled for April 13th at 9 am, live at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Samson Siasia Sports Stadium in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
