The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will begin the second phase of the NFF/FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) on Monday, 4 November 2024, with forty National U-15 Boys, a team otherwise known as the Future Eagles.
The periodic camp is part of the NFF/FIFA grand plan to sustain the game as the most popular sport in the world.
The NFF/FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) gathers the best elite academy players in the country, where they are exposed to the rudiments of the game under the tutelage of national youth coaches.
The NFF started the first phase with a total of 120 players, from which forty successful players have been selected to continue into the second phase, as 80 players failed to impress.
All the invited players are expected to resume at the Abuja camp on Monday, 4 November 2024, and the camp will last for a week, ending on Sunday, 10 November 2024.
This was outlined in the invitation letter sent to the invited players, signed by Jibril Nasiru, the NFF/FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) lead in Nigeria.
Some of the players on the list include Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen of Buruj FA, Favour Bitrus of Relentless FA, Duru Chigozie of Super Stars FA, Uyo, and Wisdom Boniface of Adoration FA, among others.
