Newcastle United embarrassed Tottenham Hotspur by scoring five goals in 21 breathtaking first-half minutes and winning easily

Joelinton added another goal as Newcastle sliced through a visiting defense that was already under scrutiny following last week's loss to Bournemouth. Jacob Murphy, Alexander Isak, and Joelinton each scored twice.
At St. James' Park, Harry Kane managed to get one back in the second half, but Callum Wilson quickly put up a sixth goal to finish off the thrashing.
The humiliating loss dealt a serious blow to Spurs' fading chances of qualifying for the Champions League, but the Magpies now have a strong chance of finishing in the top four after moving up to third.
Newcastle got things going quickly and fiercely, scoring the game's first goal in just 62 seconds, propelled by the energized environment.
Hugo Lloris parried badly Joelinton's low effort from the edge of the box into the path of Murphy, who was waiting to slam the loose ball home. Joelinton had driven inside from that position.
A shoddy Spurs offside trap was exposed by Brazilian midfielder Joelinton five minutes later, who then went around Lloris to double the advantage.
While the home crowd was still jubilant, Murphy snuck in the third with a long-range curling shot that Lloris, who had been replaced by Fraser Forster at halftime, made no attempt to reach.
Isak of Sweden, who had been scoring one every 113 minutes in the Premier League this season going into the game, added two more goals to further Spurs' woes.
