Newcastle finishes in the top four after drawing with Leicester

Following a 0-0 draw at home to struggling Leicester City on Monday, which secured a top-four position in the Premier League, Newcastle United will return to Europe's elite in the Champions League after a 20-year absence.
Although Newcastle controlled from the opening kickoff until the last whistle without scoring, it was not exactly the triumphant home finale the supporters had hoped for. However, they did not really care since their goal of playing in the Champions League had finally come true.
"I can't put it into words to be honest. If you told us two years ago this was going to happen, we wouldn't have believed you," midfielder Sean Longstaff said.
"We've beaten Juventus here 1-0 [in the Champions League], you see it on old DVDs. To be a part of this, I'm buzzing."
Newcastle battled hard for a draw that kept their survival chances just about still alive going into the last round of games on Sunday despite having 23 goal efforts to Leicester's one and being denied three times by the woodwork.
With 70 points and one game left, Eddie Howe's Newcastle are in third position, four points clear of Liverpool in fifth with the same number of games left. With two games remaining, Manchester United is in fourth position with 69 points.
