Heartland International FC players and officials have regrouped and are ready to give it another shot on Sunday when they host Sunshine Stars in an NPFL Matchday 23 tie at Awka City Stadium.
The team suffered an embarrassing 5-1 home defeat to Plateau United on Wednesday.
The loss resulted in some punitive measures aimed at halting the poor performance witnessed against the Peace Boys and compelling the players and officials of the Owerri side to seek solutions to the team's lack of results.
Heartland FC faces Sunshine Stars, led to Awka by Kennedy Boboye, the former head coach of the Naze Millionaires before the current coach, Christian Obi, returned for a second stint.
The Owerri side must be prepared both psychologically and physically if they are to return to winning ways and salvage something from the not-so-impressive season thus far.
The players must ensure they play their best game in recent matches against Sunshine Stars on Sunday, while the technical crew must also devise a winning strategy for the fans to regain happiness after such a disappointing season.
This fixture ended 1-1 when the first leg was played in Akure. However, the Naze Millionaires can win this game and restart the season with the expected points.
