The Technical Adviser of Heartland FC, Christian Obi, called for more support from the fans and assistance in his bid to fight to retain the Naze Millionaires in the top-flight league and escape from its relegation waters.
Recall that Heartland FC, presently occupying the last position (20th) on the log, will take on Kwara United in a rescheduled NPFL game at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
Obi pledged to rescue the team from relegation with the help of residents of the state.
“We are expecting victory. We went away and lost, but there are prospects in it. We have fine-tuned the team and hopefully today, God will grant our efforts to victory.
“Heartland is the club of Imolites, and if we love Imo and the club itself, I want everybody to put hands together. Let us work towards bettering the club.
“Whatever it is, I have done my part in educating and controlling the team to do what is needful this evening.
“We also need the support of all Imolites in today’s game. It has been a bit difficult since the league started for me to win a match, but I believe today will be different. We all are aiming to better Heartland.”
